OpenText is seeking a Senior Manager, eCommerce Web Development to lead the website operations of carbonite.com, webroot.com and hightail.com. Reporting to the Director of eCommerce & Web Experiences in Marketing, the ideal candidate has experience with e-commerce strategy and understands e-commerce and CMS-focused web development. You and your team of 1+ Web Developers will be responsible for managing our web platforms and participating in various growth projects to drive our digital strategy forward.

 

The right candidate is a technical subject matter expert with regards to all things Web and CMS. This role is responsible for updating the content management system and supporting any site editing needs of the Marketing team. Working cross-functionally across key groups, you are highly collaborative and focused on execution.

 

We are looking for someone who is eager to bring their technology expertise to the table to drive the next wave of growth with our eCommerce strategy. Equally important, you are willing to dive right in to problem-solve, offer a perspective on how the site could be improved in its current state, and continuously identify opportunities to optimize and enhance.

 

You Are Great At

  • Auditing and offering recommendations on the usability and accessibility (e.g. 508 compliance and web content accessibility guide [WCAG] standards) of web sites and other communications (pdfs, videos, etc.) delivered digitally
  • Working across IT, Engineering and enterprise security teams on eCommerce cart functionality integration and site security projects, including complying with international security standards
  • Working with other team members and vendors on web, content management system (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM), and network systems optimization
  • Collaborating with designers, communicators, and marketers to analyze the feasibility and efficacy of websites and web application projects
  • Overseeing various aspects of primary web properties including, but not limited to, code, content, structure, and graphics
  • Partnering with design teams to create a cohesive User Experience (UX) for websites that meet the needs of multiple end-user platforms (e.g. desktop, tablet, smartphone, etc.)
  • Utilizing current industry-accepted standards, best-practices, and tools to develop accessible, sustainable, and scalable code and products
  • Thriving in a past-paced, growth-mindset environment with changing priorities

 

What It Takes

  • Strongly Preferred
    • 7+ years leading web development teams
    • Advanced C# Knowledge, specifically in MVC, .Net Framework
    • Advanced knowledge of HTML / JavaScript / CSS and current web standards
    • Prior experience developing to a .NET Content Management System using CMS ‘Block’ style architecture
    • The ability to perform full stack debugging and troubleshooting
    • Organizational skills, including the ability to set and meet goals and deadlines, manage appointments, create schedules, coordinate and facilitate meetings, and make decisions
    • Oral, written, and listening communication skills, including the ability to accurately interpret what others are saying and convey messages, information, concepts, and details accurately and clearly
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to examine and summarize data and trends to resolve issues and produce results
  • Nice to have
    • Advanced knowledge in detailed web networking stack
    • Advanced knowledge of source control / DevOps and Azure environments
    • Experience in and knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.)
    • Working knowledge of the latest C# / .Net 6 capabilities
    • SEO implementation/optimization and A/B testing experience a plus

    • SQL Server
    • Azure App Services / Azure DevOps / Azure Application Insights
    • Visual Studio (Latest) / MSDN / Teams

 

 

For Colorado residents, this job is expected to pay in the range of 168,000 to 252,000 in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan.  Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.
