At OpenText, the Sales executive is a Mainframe product, services, software, or solution specialist who is responsible for pursuit efforts in the western region. You’ll be selling OpenText Mainframe Solutions and products in partnership with the Cloud Service providers of AWS, GCP, and Microsoft, and the large Alliances and Systems Integrators. You may have named accounts, cover a designated geography, or may be assigned to named high-potential accounts.


You’re great at:

  • Software sales enterprise experience
  • Developing a long-term sales pipeline to increase the company's market share in specialized areas.
  • Using your expertise to seek out new opportunities for value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities.
  • Working with new and existing customers to set the direction for business development and solution replication.
  • Developing and owning relationships with the OpenText client base and wider.
  • Experience in closing large deals.


What It Takes:

  • Sales experience selling solutions to enterprise customers.
  • Strong knowledge of Mainframe Modernization software solutions and services, as well as the Mainframe landscape. 
  • Consultative solutions selling and business development skills to align the client's business needs with solutions.
  • Initiative and leadership to drive services sales in accounts - prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Effective partnering with the Professional Services account team to build an effective account plan and strategy to drive incremental revenue in the account.
  • Knowledge of mainframe applications, DevOps, and environments.
