Senior Account Executive –IoT

What is the role?

We are looking for consistent over achieving Sr. Account Executives or Consultant to drive the sale of our IoT solutions throughout customer organizations. You will continue to expand your knowledge of the market space, competitors and related industries as well as gaining an understanding of the industry drivers and trends that are impacting customers and driving their business and buying decisions. This will assist you in your ultimate deliverable which is building new revenue streams through the expansion and growth of the business relationships within current and new clients.

 You will be given named accounts and a territory and will interact with those organizations to learn about their challenges and develop creative solutions with our product portfolio. This is accomplished by reviewing complex customer requirements, feasibility of intended applications, required software and adequacy of implementation plans for the customer’s needs. You take the next step when you demonstrate your leadership and influencing abilities by effectively guiding our cross functional teams of technical, services and partner personnel in the resulting software sale and implementation. We love the fact that you possess the ability to sell technology or a vision of a solution that a customer used to build a solution.

Working together we will make sure you are well versed in developing and supporting the relationship between OpenText and your customers at multiple organizational levels, and possess the ability to gather information on customer business processes, critical success factors, and competitive standing to deliver value-added business solutions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

  • You come to us with a proven track record of success and over quota attainment selling software solutions. You have sold in and have deep market and competitor knowledge of IOT solutions and how it is applied across at least one of the following verticals:  Transportation, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, and Aerospace and Defense.
  •  You are a proven hunter and farmer, building account patches from scratch, selling initial departmental opportunities as well as enterprise transactions.
  • Keys to your success are learning the different internal resources available to you and proactively developing those relationships. Creativity is a must as is your ability to build relationships with the key decision makers and influencers. You need to know what keeps them awake at night. You have to build a sales plan that you can architect, communicate, and execute.
    This is an opportunity to contribute to the top line of a multi-billion-dollar company that is new to the IoT space. Our portfolio enables you to go into any organization and have a value add conversation at the Executive level. We have a rich set of resources you can call on to support you in giving the customer that WOW moment.
  • Preferred experience in a top tier professional services organization a plus
  • Preferred Remote locations:  Chicago, Detroit, Dallas or Houston.
  • (Language proficiency in Spanish and Experience selling south of the border also a plus for the TX candidate.)
