The Opportunity
The Senior Consultant position is instrumental in implementing, designing, and supporting cloud and enterprise-level solutions with OpenText and Microsoft products for commercial and end-user applications. This position requires strong collaboration with Sales, Partners, and Customers and will be working with multiple platforms, tools and a variety of OpenText cloud solutions and on-premise technologies. You are great at
Leading large-scale enterprise system implementations involving one or multiple OpenText products and technologies, including business workflow and capture-related solutions to ensure successful, on-time delivery.
Leading design, installation, testing and supporting of OpenText products (e.g., RightFax, EasyLink/Xpedite Fax2Mail/cloud fax, XMedius Fax/cloud fax, Alchemy, OpenText Cloud Capture/Capture Center, B2B EDI) implementations based on customer’s requirements and OpenText projects/resourcing needs.
Working with users to formulate and document business requirements. Identify, investigate, and analyze business processes, procedures and work practices. Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices, and system functionality and behavior.
Developing implementation requirements, functional specs, acceptance criteria, and assist with generating Statements of Work (SOWs) or Letters of Engagement (LOEs).
Providing technical and project leadership in the design and architecture of OpenText solutions.
Taking responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as to create, adopt and implement system test plans, and to ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system.
Creating user and training documentation and conduct formal training classes.
What it takes
Expert knowledge with cloud implementation, systems implementation, and troubleshooting on the Microsoft platforms.
Strong knowledge with networking and telco (VoIP/FoIP/CUCM) infrastructure.
Familiarity with B2B EDI, cloud services and enterprise content management systems desired.
Working knowledge of SQL, Exchange, Office, Office 365, Lotus Notes, SAP, VMWare required/strongly desired.
4-6 years of experience in Professional Services, consulting, systems implementation/systems engineering and support experience within an enterprise software company/IT department.
4-6 years of hands-on implementation experience with Microsoft technologies (AD, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, Windows Servers technologies) and/or enterprise cloud technologies (Azure, Office 365, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience required.
