The Technical Consultant will be responsible for implementing enterprise solutions, assisting customers with the proper sizing and scaling of the architecture and performing the installations and configurations of the solution. The Technical Consultant understands customer requirements and advises customer on solution options. They will be responsible for bringing their expertise to the customer situation during the installation and configuration of the software. Will also apply business skills and consulting methodologies to collect and analyze data. Exhibits a broad knowledge of all service offerings within Open Text working with other team members to grow and extend knowledge as the product offering extends in features and settings. Scopes the specialized portion of engagements and provides expertise during proposal preparations.

 

What you are great at: 

  • Providing advice and guidance on the proper sizing of an architecture. 
  • Delivering on the specifications, standing up, testing, and validating complex installations.  
  • Working on complex problems that may require research and deep knowledge of the solution and address broad design issues for future projects. 

 

What it takes to Excel:

  • 3+ years of architecture experience with demonstrated skills in analytical problem-solving environments.
  • 2+ years’ experience with at least one of the OpenText technologies like Content Suite,  AppWorks or Process Suite.
  • Any valid Opentext certification is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of virtualization and any cloud services (VMWare, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience and certifications related to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud hypervisors is a plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL, Postgres databases, network architecture, firewalls, extranet security, virtual environments, backup, and high available structures.
  • Proficiency with programming in Java, JavaScript.
  • Very good knowledge of Web services, REST, and related technologies.
  • Very good knowledge of Single Sign-on mechanisms and related standards.
  • Good knowledge of web servers, browsers, and other internet applications
  • Working knowledge of Windows 20xx and any Linux distributions
  • Working knowledge of source code revisioning tools like SubVe
  • The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be willing to travel based on client needs. Majority of the travel will be within North America. 
  • Bachelors or advanced degree preferably related to Information Technology, or equivalent experience 

 

 

 

For New York,Colorado and California residents, this job is expected to pay a minimum of  $83K/annum  in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan. Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.
