Investor Relations Analyst, ESG & Data

The Opportunity

We are a seeking a team player with two or more years of experience in ESG and financial analysis and reporting. This role will also include ESG reporting and compliance as well as analytical tasks related to Investor Relations. 

OpenText is a growing global software technology company with a market capitalization of approximately C$15 billion. The individual will be an integral part of the team supporting the IR department’s initiatives and day-to-day activities


You Are Great At


•    Act as a liaison between the IR team with ESG raters to understand their rating methodologies and scoring.
•    Support the IR engagement team with investor messaging to explain OpenText’s ESG priorities and performance.
•    Perform analysis of OpenText ESG scores across key raters and highlight opportunities for improvement.
•    Coordinate information gathering from multiple business units to provide timely completion of ESG-related surveys.
•    Track and ensure that OpenText’s public data is properly reflected in ESG scores.
•    Interact with internal business units to communicate ESG ratings and priorities.
•    Benchmark OpenText’s ESG disclosure against industry peers.
•    Coordinate with the Corporate Citizenship team on external reporting to meet investor ESG requirements.


Data Analysis
•    Assist IR in supporting OpenText financial leadership team
•    Support the data gathering, organizing, and analysis of data to support strategic initiatives
•    Provide financial analysis, financial modelling, and related analysis as part of day-to day-activities
•    Prepare business case studies to benchmark internal performance towards the achievement of long-term corporate objectives


What It Takes 


•    University degree or College diploma 
•    Strong understanding of ESG issues. Awareness of and prior experience with ESG reporting frameworks
•    Proven project management skills, meticulous attention to detail in analyzing and managing large data sets 
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Expert-level in Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint presentation skills
•    Demonstrated ability to distill and manipulate large amounts of complex information to deliver actionable business insights (i.e. Programming skill is an Asset).
•    Track record of executing large-scale, complex initiatives requiring input from multiple stakeholders 
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the maturity to interact with high-level internal stakeholders, investors, and external consultants
