Sr. Manager, Cloud Services Project Management

The Opportunity:

The Americas Professional Services Manager position is a team leadership role with complete responsibility for the implementation of Cloud Business Network projects. Primary responsibilities include: Effectively managing project managers and related staff to ensure that contracted deliverables occur on a timely basis in accordance with each customer's contract and internal profitability expectations; providing oversight and direction on all aspects of the implementation process; managing software development and configuration activities; as well as providing client and senior management status reporting as required.

 

The Manager must have a work history of substantial client facing experience, direct employee management, demonstrated high level of success in delivering large scale multi-million dollar projects and have experience in working closely with sales and clients to build an effective partnership.

 

You are great at:

  • Managing to a structured project management process/methodology by developing and implementing documentation for all project phases
  • Manage client objectives and expectations and to the client contract
  • Develop project milestone/scorecard reviews
  • Responsibility for individual project portfolio and P&L and manage to a defined project budget 
  • Manage relationships with clients and internal work-streams
  • Provide technology, business consultation and program management
  • Provide reporting and first point of escalation support for client and organizational leaders
  • Provide strong business acumen and execute project solutions
  • Manage scheduling, cost control and changes
  • Provide resource capacity and forecast planning  
  • Provide review, approval and consulting for new sales opportunities
  • Provide resource mentoring, career development, employee recognition, performance reviews and employee feedback

 

What it takes:

Required Skills, Experience, Knowledge:

  • Supervisory experience (managing PM's & other resources)
  • Ability to motivate a team to meet tight project timelines
  • 10 - 15 years of Project/Program Management experience preferred
  • Experience running large projects (5-10 resources, 12-36 months, $500k - $2m+)-global project management experience a plus
  • 5 - 7 years of EDI Solutions/Applications delivery experience preferred
  • 5 - 10 years of Customer/Client Facing experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively to executive management team
  • Experience managing delivery using the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Dynamic Problem Solver with customer focus
  • Fluent with Microsoft Project & Project Task planning & dependencies.
  • Deep experience in project status & financial reporting.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must have very strong interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to partner with others, and be able manage complex relationships
  • Experience with the Six-Sigma Process or similar methodologies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field
