The Opportunity: #LI-Remote
Reporting directly to the Director, Data Privacy & Compliance, this role provides support to management for overall global privacy compliance related activities such as development and implementation of policies and procedures, organizational privacy training, oversight of privacy compliance program, M&A privacy due diligence and monitoring privacy incidents. Candidate must understand various compliance requirements, effectively interpret and communicate the requirements to internal teams, and lead efforts to produce actionable plans to meet the compliance requirements.
In this role, you will be involved in leading and sustaining the privacy compliance programs by working collaboratively with internal teams, SMEs, external customers, vendors, auditors and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in EU, and in other applicable privacy regulations around the globe.
Additionally, the candidate will be required to work with stakeholders to represent the awareness and effectiveness of the Privacy Program and will help measurements as needed. Therefore, the candidate must possess superior communication skills and the ability to articulate privacy concepts and controls in support of our customers.
You Are Great At:
- Collaborating cross-functionally with technology and business stakeholders to drive, track, and resolve all aspects of privacy compliance readiness and procedures that ensure effective privacy practices for M&A;
- Research global data protection laws and ensure are policies and procedures are in line;
- Lead and/or assist in preparation of reports and presentations on compliance with global data protection legislation and regulations;
- Prepare a variety of correspondence including letters, reports, statistics, summaries and checklists to support the privacy processes;
- Support with the creation and administration of processes for investigating and acting on privacy complaints/incidents;
- Lead and/or assist in the development of metrics and dashboards that support privacy policy and GDPR standards;
- Lead and/or assist with development of ongoing privacy training to the workforce;
- Support and coordinate activities that foster information privacy awareness within the organization;
- Participating in gap assessment, compliance readiness, and compliance monitoring activities;
- Interfacing with external auditors to facilitate privacy audits;
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives;
- Review remediation plan for privacy risks to confirm sufficiency to address the risk.
What It Takes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT or related vocations;
- 5-8 years’ experience in administrator role with experience in a related area such as Information Security, Compliance, Privacy, Audit or Risk Management;
- Strong knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), other global privacy laws, and emerging legislation;
- Understanding of security controls, privacy, risk management framework and compliance models is a must;
- Experience with at least one of the following compliance programs – SOC2 Privacy, ISO 27001, ISO 27018, PCI, HIPAA;
- Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and seek for clarity independently, work effectively with remote, global teams in multiple time zones;
- Ability to collect, collate and organize information with demonstrated attention to detail;
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to take initiative and work independently;
- Industry standard certifications (CIPM, CIPP/E, CHPS, CIPM, CIPP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISSMP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, PMI) a plus;
