The opportunity:

 

OpenText is looking for a dynamic and driven Senior Product Manager to work on the development and implementation of OpenText Contract Center, a contract management lifecycle solution. Working with a team of experienced developers, you will understand the market and lead the creation of the roadmap for the development teams. The Senior Product Manager also nurtures a healthy relationship with strategic customers and partners as well as cross-functional collaborators from Marketing, Sales, Engineering, UX Design, QA, Customer Success and Customer support.

If you are passionate about building innovative and delightful consumer and enterprise software products and are not afraid to dive into technical discussions with engineers and architects one day and an executive-level customer presentation the next day, then we’re looking for you.

You are great at:

 

  • Product definition and thought leadership
  • Developing a comprehensive product roadmap to deliver on the business goals.
  • Working with the product development team and other cross-functional teams to bring features to life.
  • Clearly communicating product benefits to our users and internal stakeholders
  • Understanding the market and with a curiosity to seek new and better techniques for getting things done
  • Bringing new ideas to the development teams and helping them understand the direction in which you wish to take the product
  • Evangelization of your ideas and products and services to marketing and sales teams
  • Understanding the key competitors and how to win against them
  • Discovering and validating market problems (both existing and future customers)
  • Seeking new market opportunities by leveraging OpenText’s EIM competence
  • Conducting technology assessments
  • Maintaining the product roadmap and represent it for the product internally and externally
  • Monitoring and incorporating market and industry innovations
  • Defining user and buyer personas for individual products
  • Writing, reviewing and prioritizing product requirements and use cases
  • Working closely with product development leaders to ensure product is built to specifications
  • Working with product managers and architects to define the work required for each product feature and then to ensure each release cycle is appropriately managed

What it takes:

 

  • The successful candidate will be able to conduct detailed discussions and demonstrations of the product. She or he will be passionate about learning how we can improve the way that customers manage their contracts and legal agreements in their organization.

 

Candidates should be:

 

  • Innovative, self-motivated, business-oriented, and passionate about creating high-value products for customers
  • 3-5 years of practical Product Management
  • 2-5 years’ experience in the Software industry preferably with SaaS and on-premise experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Effective at influencing and convincing others into action and able to be a good team member/player
  • Able to understand and articulate customers’ viewpoints and perspectives, the problems, challenges and opportunities customers face in their businesses and how customers use or could use, the product(s) to address them.
  • Goal-driven; plans and manages toward achieving goals, anticipates problems and issues and proactively drives their resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
