The Role

We are seeking a Senior Enablement Specialist who is looking for more than just a job. As Senior Enablement Specialist for the SMB/C products and programs, you will play a central role in our Sales Operations organization. You will ensure that our partner platform initiatives and management is delivered on time and include all specified dashboards and reporting.  You will be integrated with the Sales, Channel, Sales Enablement, and Training teams, working closely with them on programs, processes, and reporting that is related to the SMB/C business along with new and on-going initiatives. You will also play a key role in ensuring that metrics are established to determine the effectiveness of training and enablement initiatives.


Specific Objectives and Responsibilities

 Your First Six Months:

  • Internalize OpenText’s culture and values. This is a key to future success.
  • Become familiar with our teams and our processes.
  • Get acquainted with our product suites & current initiatives.
  • Take ownership of coordinating and running team activities.
  • Develop broad awareness of cross-team dependencies to identify potential risks/issues.
  • Work with vendors on the planned rollout and implementation of the new Partner Portal.
  • Hold your first official program review for the Partner Portal.
  • Perform dashboard and data source development by developing dashboards and data sources that meet and exceed requirements.

Six to Twelve Months and Beyond:

  • Identify and drive improvements in team processes and communication.
  • Deliver 6-12 month roadmaps for all projects within our Partner and Sales Enablement teams.
  • Take ownership of projects, helping drive them from start to completion.
  • Ensure project/product planning aligns with acquisition business case synergies.
  • Become the “go to” for status and visibility for enablement related projects, both for internal Sales and Partner communities.

Key Challenges to Overcome

  • You will collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, Product Managers, and Operations teams to work on the delivery of our products:
  • Ensure new Partner Portal is delivered and available on-time including integration with current Salesforce and Tableau instances.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting to demonstrate and quantify enablement and education effectiveness.
  • Becoming the lead person in the ongoing maintenance and development of the Partner Portal.
  • Assist to proactively identify potential risks and address any impediments.
  • Proactively identify project dependencies and gain commitment from all involved.
  • Communicate status and risks to stakeholders.
  • Work with external partners and vendors to gather and provide feedback that impacts team.
  • Create and update cross-functional release schedules and roadmaps.
  • Work with education and enablement peers to foster a climate of collaboration, accountability, and result.
  • At times take on company critical short term initiatives.
  • Prioritize workload to optimize output for company strategy and goals.
  • If successful, you will enable the Sales, Sales Operations, and all Core functions of the business to focus on forward-looking strategic initiatives.

  • Facilitate prioritization, ensuring releases deliver the most critical/impactful results on time, while ensuring less urgent but important work is not neglected.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive attitude, all built on foundation of strong ethics.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience working with and leading enablement programs and processes.
  • BA or BS degree in related field required.
  • Integrity must be a fundamental part of your character.
  • Strong track record of success in fast-paced software, Internet, or tech-enabled companies. 
  • Previous experience developing and implementing programs and processes
  • Previous experience with Zift, Tableau, and Salesforce including reporting and integration.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and oral.
  • Experience developing eLearning content is a plus.
  • Strong cross-team collaboration skills with demonstrable successes.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across disciplines.
  • Fluent French or German language would be an advantage
