OpenText is seeking a Senior Web Developer to support the website operations of carbonite.com, webroot.com and hightail.com Reporting to the Director of Online Marketing, the Senior Web Developer will need to be savvy with ecommerce strategy and understand ecommerce and CMS focused web development. This person will learn to be a technical subject matter expert with regards to all things Web and CMS. This role is responsible for updating the content management system and support any site editing needs of the Marketing team. Working cross-functionally across key groups, this role will be highly collaborative and focused on execution.


What You Are Great At:

  • Works with other team members and vendors on web, content management system (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM), and network systems optimization
  • Works with designers, communicators, and marketers to analyze the feasibility and efficacy of websites and web application projects
  • Oversees various aspects of primary web properties including, but not limited to, code, content, structure, and graphics
  • Audits and recommends on the usability and accessibility (e.g. 508 compliance and web content accessibility guide [WCAG] standards) of web sites and other communications (pdfs, videos, etc.) delivered on the internet
  • Works with design teams to create a cohesive User Experience (UX) for websites that meet the needs of multiple end-user platforms (e.g. desktop, tablet, smartphone, etc.)
  • Utilizes current industry-accepted standards, best-practices, and tools to develop accessible, sustainable, and scalable code and products


What It Takes:

  • 7+ years in a corporate development environment
  • Advanced C# Knowledge, specifically in MVC, .Net Framework o Advanced knowledge of HTML / JavaScript / CSS and current web standards
  • Prior experience developing to a .Net Enterprise Content Management System using CMS ‘Block’ style architecture
  • The ability to perform full stack debugging and troubleshooting o Organizational skills, including the ability to set and meet goals and deadlines, manage appointments, create schedules, coordinate, and facilitate meetings, and make decisions
  • Oral, written, and listening communication skills, including the ability to accurately interpret what others are saying and convey messages, information, concepts, and details accurately and clearly o Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to examine and summarize data and trends to resolve issues and produce results
  • (Remote users) Adequate remote environment and bandwidth for remote engineering. Upload bandwidth equal or exceeding 10Mbps for upstream audio/video. DSL/Satellite internet is not acceptable at any speeds. (Starlink is under consideration)
  • Advanced knowledge in detailed web networking stack
  • Advanced knowledge of source control / devops and Azure environments
  • Experience in and knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of the latest C# / .Net 6 capabilities
  • Tech Stack o .NET C# / HTML5 / CSS3 / JS (only when necessary)
  •  Episerver CMS o SQL Server o Azure App Services / Azure DevOps / Azure Application Insights o Visual Studio (Latest) / MSDN / Teams 




For Colorado residents, this job is expected to pay in the range of $80,000 to $120,000 in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan.  Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.
