The Opportunity

This role required to provides support to other technical departments in order to investigate and troubleshoot customer integration and telecom issues and reports and addresses security incidents, outages, vulnerabilities, etc. in accordance to our Security System. Who can actively participates in the establishment and maintenance of our ISO27001 and other certifications and need someone who contributes to the development and documents procedures and work instructions to ensure proper operations


You Are Great At

  • Installs, builds and manages virtual & physical servers, networks & firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, web servers, database servers, etc.
  • Installs, configures, patches and troubleshoots Linux and Window servers and their related software
  • Researches, recommends and implements innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration, deployment and monitoring tasks
  • Performs and manages continuous system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Rapidly recovers from hardware or software failures to ensure high service availability. Identifies and escalates situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Is available 24/7 to troubleshoot and resolve important issues reported by monitoring systems or through escalation
  • Provides support to other technical departments in order to investigate and troubleshoot customer integration and telecom issues


What It Takes

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the computer Network or System Administration field
  • Technical degree in computer technology or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and networking technologies (switches, routing, NAT, VLAN, firewalls, vpn, dns, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of shell scripting (particularly Linux) and good knowledge of at least one language that can be used for scripting, such as Python or Ruby
  • Good knowledge of Windows server operating system
  • Good knowledge of VMWare virtual environments
  • Good knowledge of common server software, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Apache httpd, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, etc.
  • Good understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery, including clustering and data replication techniques
  • Good understanding of data protection and encryption techniques
  • Good understanding of web application environments and SMTP integrations
  • Knowledge of AWS services is an asset (EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, SES, Route53)
  • Strong interest in computer security
  • Speaks French and English fluently
