We seek a Technical Consultant - EDRMS to join our growing Professional Services team.
Professional Services provides market-leading solutions to help organizations across EMEA understand, protect and manage their data. Our team delivers a diverse set of solutions from our broad portfolio of products.
Our secure content management suite helps our customers reduce the risk, complexity and cost of managing content across the enterprise—structured, unstructured, active or inactive.
CM classifies content and records automatically, based on detailed categories. It uses a manage-in-place framework to apply holds to content in external repositories, eliminating the need to migrate it to a central repository. When on hold, the product takes control over the content’s retention and security. Content Manager Select enables authorized access to mission critical business information for compliance, productivity and knowledge management use cases.

What the role offers
- Responsible for advising on and implementing a solution based on Content Manager to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design.
- Understands a broad spectrum of industry and OpenText technology to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements and delivers value.
- Often leads small to medium technical projects and is sensitive to the business context in which the projects run.
- Works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Manager and with customer nominated representatives.
- Liaises with OpenText and Customer Solutions Architect as appropriate.
- Provides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segment.
- Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments.
- Provides technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement.
- Provides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment.
- Communicates across client community and is viewed as adding value.
- Demonstrates execution of the company strategy.
- Contributes to knowledge tools and communities and ensures project learnings are documented and shared.
- Role models Knowledge sharing and re-use within practice or profession.
- Proactively encourages membership and contributions of others to professional community. Uses professions to meet the relevant certification and professional standards.
- Participates in the selling process in OpenText and works with sales/principals on pre- sales activities.
What you need to succeed
- Previous experience or knowledge of Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS)
- Understanding of basic EDRMS components and process
- Microsoft Windows Server platform knowledge
- Azure and AWS knowledge
- SharePoint 2013 or above implementation and configuration knowledge would be an advantage
- Coding and development skills using SDK/API’s would be an advantage
- Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to be individually responsible for the implementation of a specific deliverable.
- Able to contribute to the design for deliverables.
- Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on individual products.
- Able to communicate broad and specific concepts with team and to peers.
- Able to produce documentation for use by team and customer.
- Programming or scripting experience (Java, Python, Bash, Groovy etc.)
- Linux experience
- Database experience
- Big Data Technology experience (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
- Machine learning or modelling experience
- DV clearance or the commitment to undergo the clearance process is a must
