The Opportunity :


The Technical Presales Solution Consultant will provide both deep analytical and domain knowledge and skills as well as Mentoring and grooming team members. The Principal Solution Consultant is a core member of the OpenText sales team, working together to identify and develop revenue opportunities within the OpenText Customer and Prospect base. This will involve analyzing complex customer requirements collaborating with the wider OpenText organization to provide a compelling, unique value proposition to the customer, which leverages one or more OpenText EIM solutions and capabilities.


      What you"ll bring :


  • Working closely with Account Executives in the field to communicate Open Text value propositions to the customer/prospects.
  • Applying both technical and business skills to solve problems within an account and subsequently architecting an appropriate technical solution to meet the customer’s business requirements.
  • Qualifying opportunities at key milestones, taking into consideration the competitive landscape, solution fit, relationship with the customer, etc.
  • Developing and delivering product demonstrations and proof of concepts against specific customer requirements.
  • Responding to RFx requests, taking the lead for the solution and technical elements of the response.
  • Provide oversight on proposals delivered as part of the teams you oversea or manage.
  • Meeting clients on solution consulting engagements.
  • Delivering technology and business level presentations to technical, business and management-level audiences.
  • The ability to work across business units and leverage different technologies and solutions from the wider OpenText EIM portfolio to grow and enhance opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and support areas of solutions consultants’ growth and improvement
  • Be prepared to challenge the status-quo to support better customer outcomes.


What it takes:


  • The Technical Presales Solution Consultant must have a minimum eight (5+) years’ experience in presales of Enterprise solutions
  • Be knowledgeable of a wide range of technologies and platforms across core technology and end user business applications
  • Conceptual understanding of different lead applications (ERP, CRM, BPM) and vendors including SAP, Oracle, Infor, Microsoft and others.
  • Understanding of Industry-specific and best practices for BFSI / financial services, government, manufacturing and asset intensive.
  • Excellent customer relations including written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages.
  • Experience developing and presenting clear and concise messages to both technical and business prospects. 
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis within India
