Customer Operations Project Manager

The Opportunity:


As a Project Manager within Global Customer Support (CS), you are responsible for leading and managing concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment. You will use your hands-on project management approach to manage the overall timeline for the project, issues, risks and scope, and communicating project status to project sponsors and upper management. We require an individual who has strong leadership, excellent communication, as well as proficiency in motivating and leading others through strategic changes. 

The Project Manager provides a single point of contact for projects and takes them from original concept through to final implementation with a focus on enhancing business systems, business processes, productivity, and efficiency.

 

You Are Great At:


•    Lead the project management activities required for the successful delivery of multiple small to medium-scale projects, in a professional, timely manner
•    Analyze impacts to various teams within Customer Support related to people, process, and systems
•    Provide recommendations to CS leadership based on the above analysis
•    Assist with creating detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, communication plans, training plans, resource plans, write and execute business requirements and status reports
•    Consult with IT for the allocation of resources when scope, priorities and implementation dates change, while minimizing business disruptions 
•    Work closely with cross functional business units to ensure a cohesive approach to overall project management at OpenText
•    Working proactively to ensure that projects and changes are communicated appropriately and delivered with minimal impact to the business
•    Complete gap analysis by gaining a thorough understanding of OpenText system processes and the acquired companies business processes and systems 
•    Drive the execution and integration tasks on time and on budget
•    Provide ongoing communication to executive sponsors, business owners and internal customers regarding project milestones, progress and completion of activities to ensure smooth implementations


What It Takes:


•    Bachelor’s degree, college diploma or equivalent experience
•    Minimum 3 years of project management experience with a proven track record of leading successful project implementations in a global software enterprise environment or technology field
•    Experience with acquisition integration projects within global software enterprise environment or technology field is an asset
•    Ability to prioritize multiple projects/tasks in a fast paced and changing environment, with minimal supervision
•    Exceptional leadership and written communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings and translate requirements into defined business solutions
•    Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and influence within all levels of the organization
•    Solid understanding of a customer support environment beneficial; including Technical Support and Maintenance Renewals, Professional Services, with the ability to recommend solutions for possible improvements
•    Aptitude for technology and the ability to connect technical concepts with customer value
•    Highly organized; detail oriented, and have the ability to shift easily between a variety of tasks with ease 
•    Possess a high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills, logic-based thinking, strong creativity and attention to detail
•    Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
•    Experience with SAP is an asset
•    PMP designation or working toward designation an asset
