The Opportunity
Reporting to Senior Director, Billing Operations, the Director, Americas Billing Operations leads a team of high performing managers and individual contributors who ensures that the billing process is frictionless for our customers and optimizes OpenText cash collections targets. Excellent customer service and business partner skills, leadership capabilities and business acumen will be key characteristics to support the Order-to-Cash efficacy. You Are Great At
- Lead team to deliver on Order-to-Cash targets, effectively partnering on billing optimization with customers to support cash collection targets and bringing your team along to implement on the Order-to-Cash strategy.
- Accountable for Americas Billing Operations performance to support strong operating cash flow and full capture of revenue.
- Define & Drive billing strategy and transformation roadmap, ensuring cross functional alignment and change management.
- Maintain a strong focus on execution and deliver short term results and successes while moving towards the long-term vision.
- Develop and report Key Performance Indicators on SLA’s with a focus on providing higher quality service as well as transparency to internal customers
- As well as managing the ongoing workload of the team, they will drive the strategic development of the O2C processes for our customers and internal teams. They will also work with their peers to drive best practices to the wider billing organization.
- Working strategically on the integration of processes and systems as part of OpenText’s current and ongoing acquisition strategy.
- Manage the communication and promotion of the team mission statement within the senior OT leadership teams to ensure support and buy-in to the strategies.
- Managing Programs, processes and projects within a matrix organization and involving senior internal stakeholders and customers
- Responsible for workforce planning to continuously assess and implement plans for right skills in right place at right time for your team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, supporting process improvements implemented by the team and influencing stakeholder buy-in to drive value within OpenText.
- Lead change with your peers and others as we evolve with organic growth and acquisitions.
- Accountable to ensure your team is engaged and properly trained to ensure we protect OpenText’s brand on legal and financial policies, and other internal controls.
WHAT IT TAKES:
- University/college education in relevant discipline (Finance or Accounting preferred)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience leading teams; Global experience in the software services, or high- tech industry preferred
- Experience onboarding and supporting team through all aspects of team member lifecycle (strategic hiring, training, developing, performance manageting, rewards, and off boarding)
- Management of a large (50+ FTE), cross functional department across multiple international locations with a proven track record of driving innovation & leading organizational changes
- Has extensive expertise in order management and collections processes and best practices and is viewed as a trusted advisor to the Senior Opentext Sales Organization. Applies expertise to multiple aspects of a project. Possesses highly developed professional technical expertise, which is applied to complex billing processes/projects.
- Uses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to Interact with senior internal groups and customers to assist in the negotiation and resolution of specific requirements. Interacts directly with senior management and customers to effectively coordinate and influence.
- M&A experience considered an asset.
- Works independently to support and manage their team on assignments of a complex nature where initiative and creativity are required in resolving problems and/or developing recommendations often to a very tight timescale due to financial deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to inspire the billing excellence story.
