The Opportunity 


The Director of Credit role is responsible for the delivery and execution of a sound Credit process that enables a balance of growth and risk mitigation.  
The individual will be led by an “Owners Mindset” and will manage, establish, and evolve risk methodologies and controls in a compliant, dynamic, Global environment.  The Successful candidate will provide strategic and operational support, interact, and build relationships with various leaders, and will be expected to negotiate and interact directly with Customers.  The position requires the candidate to be a critical thinker with strong business acumen who can find creative solutions to complex issues, as well as incorporating Industry Best Practices to the role.  Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize input from multiple sources are a must.  Additionally, this role requires an approach that prescribes and adapts to an ever-changing growth-oriented environment using leading metrics as an evaluation of performance.

A strong predictor of success for the Director, Credit is a leader who can support the Digital Business Services team, building complex models to support Business initiatives in a dynamic environment, leading process improvements and who is self-motivated and works well in a team environment.  He/she will have the ability to interact with and influence management at multiple levels and contributors at all levels of the organization.

•    Provides direct oversight of the Credit Dept
•    Provides leadership, coaching and development to a team of credit professionals
•    Maintains a solid understanding of all systems in the revenue cycle
•    Develops and maintains KPI reports that can be shared with Sr Leadership
•    Regularly liaises with Sr Sales leadership, developing relationships and strategies to enable revenue growth
•    Pro-actively seek out opportunities to provide creative solutions under tight deadlines to balance the needs of revenue and cash flow
•    Work with Collections to understand and enhance process’ through cause and effect analysis
•    Interacts directly with Customers providing guidance and insight on large sales 


What It Takes 


•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
•    At least 10 years Credit Experience with a minimum 5 years in a Leadership/Supervisory role
•    Ability to interact with and influence Senior Leaders and Customers
•    Strong Problem Solving and Analytical skills combined with business acumen
•    Knowledge of SAP, Sales Force, Assure an asset
•    Advanced understanding of credit bureau data and Financial Statements
•    Must possess a Bias for action and work well in a fast-paced, Global environment
•    Knowledge and experience with Customer Financing an asset
