The Opportunity:
The Director of Cloud Technical Program Management is responsible for the organization in charge of the delivery of operational and strategic projects and system-wide initiatives to enable, advance, and scale OpenText’s Cloud business and operations. This role is for a technical program management leader who can define, implement, oversee and optimize scalable processes to streamline delivery and deliver positive outcomes for initiatives that require cross-functional team alignment across OpenText.
The ideal candidate is a senior technical leader with a strong program management background, a head for business, and a pragmatic, data-driven, strategic approach to problem-solving. You will be non-political, with the ability to influence leaders across different business and functional teams, and will have demonstrated examples of leadership defining and rolling out successful Cloud Service or Product delivery initiatives and processes. You will have a proven ability to scale the organization, establish credibility at leadership levels, and experience gaining consensus and approval for service / operational planning efforts across multiple functional leaders.
The role collaborates with other functional project management offices and other corporate leaders, including Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, and HR, to ensure high performance and promote the alignment of initiatives toward achieving strategic results.
The role will work with the Cloud Operations leaders and their stack owners to prioritize and implement the vision of the organization, being responsible for timely delivery of quality project outputs while performing appropriate scope management. This position requires strong leadership, a solution-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication, and “hands-on” program management and business operation skills.
This role manages a group of 5-10 strong Technical Project Managers, which may grow as the OpenText Cloud business grows while managing and owning the actual results of strategic initiatives/projects assigned to it.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Is Accountable for the successful launch and delivery of new, key OpenText Cloud initiatives (e.g., expanding and scaling the OT Cloud footprint, including new capabilities and certifications, launching new Cloud-ready service offerings, etc.)
•Helps create, populate, automate and manage metrics dashboards on an ongoing basis, identifying and following through with data-driven business and operational improvement opportunities
•Manages CSD’s collaboration and ongoing operational and business dependencies with Product, HR, Finance, and other key areas as may be needed by the business, becoming the de facto CSD point of contact for those areas, including business and operational budgets, among other items
•Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports
•Recommends/takes action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems
•Provides visibility to team impediments/risks and helps eliminate them
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education Minimum BS CS or equivalent experience (MBA ideal)
PMP Certification required
Experience required
15+ years of industry experience in a global, high-tech environment, with at least 5 years in a management or program management position
Proven track record of successful team/business operation scaling and project/program management of complex, cross-functional, large implementations
Required Knowledge
Multiple program and project management methodologies, and collaboration tools (OLAP, Atlassian, etc.)

•Strong business acumen and proficiency in budget planning, financial management, and resource management.
