Corporate Communications Program Manager

  • The Corporate Communications Program Manager/Sr. Corporate Communications Program Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing programs, plans and content that supports the OpenText corporate narrative and executive opinion and thought leadership.
  • Central to the role will be an understanding of multiple distribution models including social media, owned (blogs), earned (PR) and paid (content partnership) channels that will be used to promote the content and increase our online presence, brand awareness and executive visibility.
  • This role will partner closely with leaders and colleagues across the organization to
  • plan and execute executive communications programs, develop opinion and messaging strategies, and write, review, and edit content from external writers.
  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned writer and creative thinker who has a highly strategic mindset and superb organizational skills to execute at the tactical level.




  • Working with the Sr. Director, Corporate Communications to develop and deliver a best-in-class corporate content strategy
  • Coordinating content-centric programs for corporate-wide stories and campaigns, including executive thought-leadership, corporate narrative, corporate events and branding, and global campaigns
  • Managing a master corporate content calendar
  • Creating engaging content – including videos, blogs, executive and industry thought leadership
  • Develop – and continually refresh – executive “opinion platforms” that align to and reinforce both OpenText’s corporate narrative and executive interests; work in partnership with corporate PR team to promote executive opinion and thought-leadership across owned, earned and paid media
  • Working with colleagues to extend the content life cycle of corporate content including customer stories, whitepapers, and media coverage
  • Researching, reporting, analyzing, and measuring metrics
  • Designing and implement content strategies to align with business goals
  • Actively contributing to the employee advocacy program to ensure broader – company-wide-sharing of content
  • Suggesting and implement new programs and corporate campaigns to develop brand awareness
  • Staying up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications




  • 7+/10+ years of experience in PR, social media management or content development, with proven ability to execute.
  • A self-starter and someone who is comfortable working across teams
  • Hands on experience with social media publishing, measuring and content creation solutions
  • Excellent social writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail, ability to manage and deliver creative content (text, image, and video)
  • Excellent communications, analytical, organizational and project management skills
  • Current knowledge of all major social platforms – inc. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and social media best practices
  • Strong and committed work ethic and the ability to work in a distributed but collaborative team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7/10 years relevant experience – agency or in-house - ideally in a high-tech environment
