Lead Business Analyst (S2P)

The Lead Business Analyst (S2P) will be accountable for in-depth data analysis: spotting trends, monitoring key indicators, and identifying issues across S2P.  The successful candidate would assist in developing requirements for new or enhanced functionality and support ongoing initiatives with a solid understanding and explanation of variance drivers for S2P.



  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for understanding and evaluating S2P financial metrics and identifying efficiencies to improve performance
  • Building relationships with leaders to improve processes and understanding and explain variance drivers within the operations teams
  • Proactivity monitor key performance indicators to ensure data accuracy and data management policies are working as expected
  • Performing deep dive analysis with S2P leaders to understand and analyze spend
  • Development of accessible, reusable analytical tools to drive efficiency and performance within procure to pay function
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their available data, optimize associated data model and create business insights
  • Efficiently filter and cleanse data, review reports and performance indicators to locate and correct data and processes where needed
  • Develop and design improvements to the processes, procedures, tools, rules, and metrics to ensure integrity of data
  • Partnership and cross-functional interaction with teams to support ongoing reporting initiatives.



  • 8+ years of finance experience preferably with experience supporting a source to pay organization’s performance analytics
  • Experience with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and Master Data Management with good knowledge of the Procure to Pay life cycle
  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and minimize financial risks
  • High attention to detail with ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and distill it in crisp, clear language appropriate for a variety of audiences
  • Self-starter working under minimal supervision with cross functional teams to drive stated goals
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation, collaboration, and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and influence change at all levels
  • Experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: SAP, OLAP, Business Objects, other data extraction tools), proficiency in Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation, including pivot tables, v-lookup & Macros
  • Experience with database development & management (ie. MS Access & SQL) is nice to have
  • Experience with data visualization products such as Tableau or PowerBI is nice to have
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and execute tasks with short lead times, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
  • Strong process orientation and demonstrated ability to define and document new or improved business planning and management processes and reporting mechanisms
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or another related field is preferred
