The Opportunity:
The Cloud Services Product Management (CSPM) team is responsible for leading the definition and delivery of OpenText’s Cloud Services offerings across a complete lifecycle, owning the roadmap and the plan. Involved in all aspects of Cloud Service readiness, we focus activity for both operationalization and commercialization. This role reporting into the Director of Cloud Services Product Management, requires the successful candidate to work cross-functionally across our part of the organization and within the various Cloud Service domain areas to drive valuable, secure, scalable and available solutions and managed services as Cloud offerings. 


This essential role is focused on having the successful candidate drive strategic commercialization initiatives and deliverables so that processes and programs enable our Pre-Sales, Sales and RevOps to sell more of our Cloud Services and to do so faster. We see product management as the discipline of enabling decisions with confidence and delivering services that lead to outcomes. We lead to enhance value realization for our business and our customers. 

 

As the ideal applicant, you are process-savvy, goal-driven, and remarkably passionate about delivering software products and services in an end-to-end manner. You operate with a visionary’s point of view and have an owner’s mindset. You are an experienced manager with a strong track record of leading products on all dimensions of the 4Ps and as demonstrated by your products’ adoption and success in the market. As a progressive product manager, you put impact at the core of everything you do, and you shape products and services based on fact and value proposition. You are a master at stakeholder management and use it to get it done.

 

The leader in this role will work with not only the Director of Cloud Services Product Management but with your peers on the team, managers in Cloud Operations, Sales and Revenue Operations to drive programs. This position requires strong attention to detail, an iterative mindset, excellent communication, and “hands-on” product and program management skills. You have a product and program management background, a head for business, and a pragmatic, often methodical approach to problem-solving. You are non-political, can influence without authority across different teams and seniority levels and you have a clear track record of leadership through defining and rolling out successful initiatives, and processes.
 

You are great at:
•    Define, drive and deliver on key commercialization initiatives for CSPM so that processes and programs enable teams that depend on them to sell more Cloud Services and faster.
•    Establish and influence the adoption of processes, programs and frameworks that enable deals and decisions with scalability, standardization and repeatability being pillars of your activity.
•    Champion Cloud Service literacy within the organization and drive internal adoption rates. This, while enabling us to be more data-informed, to formulate the collection of customer insights and find a way to tap into data streams so that they are useful to stakeholders.
•    Establish and prioritize feedback loops, win/loss reflections and continuous improvement into all the programs and processes that you drive.
•    Translate the vision and objectives of key initiatives into smaller, actionable parts so that they can be delivered in increments and then propose and align resources for each tied initiative.
•    Lead in defining goals for data that align with the broader organizational vision. This includes building both short-long-term strategies, defining key metrics to track success or determining the prioritization of features that fall within scope.
•    Conduct market, product, and service assessments, mapping out data and process flow and profile the consumption model even involving user and stakeholder interview and surveys.
•    Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales Engineers to support and articulate clear and confident messaging in response to prospect and customer inquiries related to the use Cloud services.
•    Develop a strong understanding of Open Text Cloud products and services and importantly the processes that enable and support commercialization and channel enablement. 


What it takes:
•    Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent and applied experience in software domain; MBA and/or PMP certification a plus.
•    10+ years of industry experience, preferably in software and in Cloud a plus and in a global, high-tech environment while managing strategic deliverables.
•    What it takes to define and deliver successful initiatives with impact and with results based on strategic imperatives and objectives.
•    Passionate about winning in the Cloud business / industry.
•    Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills; solid business acumen; strong ability to influence as skills are crucial. 
•    In-depth knowledge of product and program and project management delivery models inherent to enterprise software, platforms, and services.
•    Knowledge and experience driving task completion and coordinating activities for planning, development and delivery.
•    Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building strong relationships and establishing credibility with internals collaborators and stakeholders, and the management team are a must. 
•    Proven organizational skills; ability to multi-task and work on several initiatives concurrently. 
•    Ability to prioritize complex and often competing deliverables and develop creative strategies to maintain progress toward business objectives despite various roadblocks.
•    Effective facilitation skills for participatory decision making.
•    Both team-oriented and self-motivated.
