Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

The Opportunity:

We are looking for experienced and motivated candidate for a Lead Quality Assurance Developer 

in the Information Technology department.   This position involves being part of a dynamic team environment responsible for designing, developing, and supporting software solutions to meet business requirements in the area Consumer and SMB go-to-market channels.
You Are Great At:


  • Gain basic understanding of Carbonite product suite. 
  • Learn the team’s automation environments, tools, and current processes.  
  • Gain hands on experience and become an expert in the current implementation of our test code and test cases.  
  • Participate in design/code reviews, test case reviews, and collaborating with the work of peer engineers. 
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the current implementation of current testing frameworks. 
  • Begin designing test cases which allow us to enhance our continuous integration efforts and increase our automation efforts. 
  • Participate in supporting IT Applications team Agile releases 
  • Contribute to our ongoing test automation improvement efforts, identifying gaps in coverage, and supporting continuous improvements. 
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of automated test code.  
  • Offer new suggestions/designs which support our continuous integration test efforts. 


What It Takes: 


  • A Bachelor’s degree, College diploma or equivalent experience 
  • Excellent software development skills using one or more of the following OO languages: 
  • Java, C++, C#.  
  • Hands-on automated testing using any of the following - Selenium Web driver, Appium/perfecto 
  • Hands on experience using QTest, Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio, and/or other enterprise test frameworks.  
  • Experience and ability to move between several languages. 
  • A passionate desire to drive and unify automation with a passion for product quality.  
  • Experience with test case design methods supporting continuous integration using Jenkins, TFS, etc. 
  • Abundant initiative and ability to rapidly learn from mistakes. 
  • Prior Experience with BDD framework using Cucumber/Jbehave 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Openness to say "I don't know,"  
  • Active, demonstrable curiosity about the newest technologies and practices. 
  • Automating mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms 
  • Experience leading small teams 
  • Experience with Docker 
  • Experience working with one of these Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform.
