The Opportunity: 

The Digital Media Group of OpenText’s Digital Experience division is a software development organization that provides a Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions that serve as the foundation for customer-centric organizations.   Everyone wants more rich media, images and video to engage their staff, partners and their customers.  Our solution is a leading, innovative enterprise-class DAM that optimizes the management, use and distribution of rich media assets (images, designs, video, audio, 3D) at scale across the digital ecosystem (partners, customers, staff, agencies). Through best-in-class enterprise-level search, usability, security, scalability and TCO, we support millions of assets, petabytes of storage, and thousands of users, while optimizing operations, risk, integrations, and cost.


We are looking for talented, experienced software engineers with experience in Dev Ops and cloud deployments to join the OpenText DAM Product Development organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop our award-winning product by innovating on new ideas and methods. You will be part of a scrum team designing, developing, and delivering products in both SaaS and private cloud environment.  In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, QA, and operations as well as other R&D teams. You will mentor junior members of the team as well as collaborate with other groups within OpenText on best practices and techniques.  If you have a passion for technology and delivering impactful software, you could be a good fit.



You are great at: 


  • Well-versed in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Ingress and all operational aspects of cloud deployments in Azure, Google, and AWS.
  • Lead a small team responsible for deploying enterprise software in Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure and Opentext’s Experience Cloud .
  • Being passionate about software development at all levels: architecture, design, implementation, test, and deployment.
  • Deploying software solutions for public and private cloud environments
  • Creating CI/CD automated pipelines to efficiently deploy software and infrastructure in a repeatable, predictable process.
  • Communication both written and oral as well as communicating with software engineers and product managers globally.
  • Delivering high quality software that is scalable, high-performing, and secure.
  • Decomposing work into tasks that can be completed in days rather than weeks or months as a part of an Agile framework.



What it takes: 


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems or related fields and 5 years of experience developing enterprise class solutions.
  • Well versed in tools such as Ansible and Gitlab to enable end to end deployment of software.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a dev ops capacity deploying complex solutions in both a private cloud and public SaaS cloud.
  • Exposure to Front end development using frameoworks such as React a plus
  • Exposure to enterprise software developing backend services in Java a plus
  • Experience working with databases such Cloud SQL, SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Proven history of building enterprise software with a focus on performance, scaling, high availability, and security




  • Linux shell scripting is a plus.
  • A software developer with a keen understanding of what it takes to deploy a solution in the public cloud.
