Lead Systems Analyst-SAP ERP

OpenText is looking for strong candidates to be part of a diverse team having responsibility for the ongoing management and expansion of their SAP suite of ERP applications.   This is an opportunity to work on support and expansion projects on their SAP S4 and related SAP technologies.  

The SAP Functional Analyst candidate will be responsible for providing SAP functional expertise within the Sales and Distribution process area as well as Procurement. The candidate must have worked on multiple-full SDLC implementations as part of a configuration team as well as have experience in a support role.  This professional will be focused on ongoing improvement and expansion projects as well as production support and operations.




  • The successful candidate will be part of a SAP ERP Functional team and have the following responsibilities:    
  • Participate/Lead Blueprint and design workshops with Business and IT leads
  • Act in an intermediary role to translate functional requirements to technical requirements
  • Communicate to process teams the technical capabilities of the solution
  • Perform requirement analysis and fit / gap analysis and produce configuration and development requirements
  • Design, configuration, and testing of solutions within the Sales and Procurement modules of SAP
  • Write detail Functional Specifications in order to translate the business requirements into functional design and oversee the development of the proposed solution



  • The successful SAP SD Functional Analyst will have the following Core Requirements:
  • Should be able to translate functional requirements into SAP design
  • Strong experience with hands on configuration of SAP Sales and Distribution and Materials Management Modules of SAP
  • Experience with workflow administration and design is an asset
  • Ability to debug ABAP code is an asset
  • Experience with Solution Manager is an asset
  • Experience with the order to cash and procure to pay processes in a software or technology company is an asset
  • Experience in an environment where multiple non SAP applications are interfaced
  • Should have knowledge of Integration between core SAP modules
  • Experience in S4 HANA is an asset
  • Should have good understanding of the business processes, ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish multiple tasks, both as part of a team and independently
  • Should be able to write detail Functional Specifications in order to translate the business requirements into functional design and oversee the development of the proposed solution
  • Experienced  in at least 2 full lifecycle SAP implementations
  • Experience in production support is an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of hands on experience with SAP.  
  • 10+ years IT experience
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • A high standard for work ethic and quality is required
