The Manager, Business Intelligence - Reporting & Automation is responsible to deliver successfully on various fronts.  First, generating standard and creating new, ad-hoc, value-added reporting to measure performance across the Order to Cash organization that can be actioned for meaningful change. The second key responsibility lies in the automation of manual processes by leveraging robotic process automation solutions (RPA). The last key deliverable rests with managing staff who will heavily assist with the reporting and process automation program and vision. This role will work with various stakeholders to drive toward a Centre of Excellence for Reporting and Automation.


This role will require a hands-on approach, a strategic and technical problem-solver who can effectively influence business partners while holding a high degree of business insight. This individual will need to deeply understand the Billing/Order to Cash Operations and arrive at reporting and automation solutions that demonstrate impact and value to the organization. The ideal candidate has a combination of hands-on systems/technical savviness with Excel/VBA/SQL/SSIS/UI Path /RPA, strategy, billing operations/Order to Cash, and strong partnering skills in a very fast-paced environment.

  • Creative and out of the box thinker who can leverage process engineering and continuous improvement to solve complex business problems
  • Experience with delivering automated solutions to remove low value, manual tasks across the O2C continuum.
  • Ability to influence directly and indirectly while building relationships with stakeholders across several organizations at various levels
  • Experience building reporting databases and running queries to extract requested information in a timely manner
  • Can see ahead of the curve and anticipate business needs to address shortcomings before they arise



What It Takes:

  • Deliver Reporting and Automation Excellence on day to day and strategic, high impact projects across O2C and Opentext
  • Leverage internal and external stakeholders, and using data to identify and prioritize business process improvement initiatives across the organization
  • Take a hands-on approach to execute on reporting and automation best practices by highlighting insights through data and contribute to building a Centre of Excellence Hub.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations/dynamic dashboards to demonstrate performance and extrapolate areas of opportunity for change.
  • Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; utilize numerous formal and informal approaches to solving problems, managing risks, and documenting assumptions; communicate results and educate others through insightful visualizations, reports, and presentations.
  • People management of team members – from on-boarding, coaching, guiding, career- pathing and providing exceptional support of direct reports


  • Detailed reviews of reporting and/or automation business requirements and understanding delivery or solution feasibility and offer alternatives with a lens on efficiency


  • Support and interact with leadership and key partners and consult on developing business solutions.  This includes generating strategies and contributions to the overall reporting and automation vision through to execution of solutions while facilitating cross-functional team collaboration


  • Be a trusted and critical adviser to the leadership team and guide the business on best practices – technical and non-technical, strategy formulation, development, and execution of solutions


Required Skills/Experience (Necessary):


Reporting Expertise Must Include Proven, Hands-on, Expert level Experience with:

  • Building data models in Excel – Expert
  • Querying large amounts of data using SQL
  • SQL Database Management
  • Excel with specific knowledge in VBA, Power Query and Power Pivot - Expert
  • ETL with SSIS experience​ (Expert)
  • Scripting knowledge - VBS
  • Batch file experience​​
  • Sharepoint
  • PowerBI
