The Opportunity:


The Manager, Business Analysis will be responsible for all things tied to cash flow including the ongoing reporting and monitoring of OpenText's operating cash position. This individual will play a key role in partnering with the Order to Cash, Source to Pay, Revenue Operations, Treasuring, and FP&A organizations in obtaining an end-to-end view of the in and outflows of cash. This role will build, coach, and manage a small team of financial experts to deliver accurate and timely cash reporting for the organization.



What you'll need to succeed:


  • Outstanding analytical and mathematical skills
  • A wealth of experience with financial modeling and forecasting and the ability to triangulate multiple inputs to arrive at a consistently accurate cash position
  • Creative solutions to address operational short-comings and capable of driving solution changes
  • Ability to influence while building relationships with stakeholders across several organizations at various levels including presenting at the Executive level
  • Proven reporting and dashboarding experience with a keen eye on attention to detail and accuracy.  Must be a guru with MS Excel and PowerBI to build financial models and present in a dynamic manner
  • Can see ahead of the curve, anticipate the business needs before they ask
  • Ability to pivot quickly to meet the changing demands of the business
  • Outstanding partnership skills not only to lead your team but to work across our matrixed organization with several key stakeholders



What you'll do:

  • Build short and long term financial forecast models as our business transitions to a cloud focus and translate the financial relationships between bookings, revenues, billings and cash
  • Deep analysis of the timing to convert cloud sales pipeline opportunities from Salesforce (minimum and annual contract values) into revenue, billing and cash
  • Understand delays on time to revenues, billings, and cash and search for alternates and implement solutions to address these delays
  • Work closely with billing & collection team to understand key drivers behind time to cash, put forth strategic changes/solutions to reduce the time to cash window
  • Forecasting and measuring the impact of cash improvement initiatives on a standard cadence.  This is ideally a self-serve tool where any stakeholder can see initiative progress
  • Build a “Bottoms Up” expense forecast where we can drill down to the lowest level possible yet provide the Executive dashboard view.  This will require ongoing evaluations to account for new and terminated vendors
  • Can manage large datasets to extrapolate key business insights
  • Build and manage a team to uncover areas of opportunities to ultimately accelerate cash through improvements on time to close; time to bill, time to collect etc.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations/dynamic dashboards to demonstrate performance and extrapolate areas of opportunity for change.
  • Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; utilize numerous formal and informal approaches to solving problems, managing risks, and documenting assumptions; communicate results and educate others through insightful visualizations, reports, and presentations.
  • Be a trusted and critical adviser to the leadership team and guide the business on best practices – technical and non-technical, strategy formulation, development, and execution of solutions



Required Skills/Experience (Necessary):


Expertise Must Include Proven, Hands-on, Expert level Experience with:


  • CPA or CFA Designation required
  • Building financial data models in Excel and PowerBI
  • SAP – can extract reports to support forecasting and data validation
  • Salesforce – maneuvering through the sales pipeline and opportunity stages
  • Building and leveraging stakeholder relationships
  • Curiosity – always asking pertinent questions to improve financial outputs
