The Opportunity:


The Pricing Analyst role is the perfect mix of marketing, financial, operational, analytical, and technical skills. In this role, you will develop, implement, support, and utilize processes and tools that enable the sales life-cycle relative to pricing. You will collaborate with various cross-functional teams and be a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders as we work to price and package OpenText software products. In addition, you will be responsible for monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis and providing pricing insight to the team as well as management. The successful candidate must demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to learn quickly (including the ability to self-learn), and excellent oral and written communications skills.


You Are Great At:


  • Respond to internal inquiries related to product pricing, packaging, and usage of the various pricing tools
  • Maintain pricing tools, including price books, pricing reports, and supplemental documents
  • Work with the Data Governance Organization to maintain materials and pricing metadata in SAP
  • Communicate pricing processes internally
  • Manage ingestion and maintenance of materials and related pricing data into Open Text pricing tools, including M&A integration
  • Provide reports on sales data, including purchasing patterns in terms of size, frequency, product mix, version, discount level, regional variations, and other ad-hoc reporting and pricing analysis as needed
  • Drives/supports continuous process refinement and improvements by applying a solid understanding of internal business processes and policies
  • Participate in projects as required; partner with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and provide support and feedback on operational processes through subject matter expertise of pricing tools and standard operating procedures


What It Takes:


  • Minimum university Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, economics, statistics, or general business program
  • Minimum 3 years experience in finance and/or pricing analysis, with experience in the enterprise software industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a global organization
  • Strong analytics, problem-solving and financial skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiastic, quick learner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or SAP is desirable.
  • Familiarity with OpenText and its products is desirable.
