The Opportunity:
The OpenText Principal Site Reliability Administrator will load the general maintenance and upkeep of our global infrastructure services environment. Included in this; deploying changes, working with vendors, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring performance specifications are met for DNS, SMTP, NTP, and Windows in addition to other duties and protocols as directed. This person will participate in an on-call rotation to handle production-impacting issues. The OpenText Principal Site Reliability Administrator will report to the Senior Manager of Directory Services focusing on commercial business.
You are great at:
Providing technical leadership to the Operations Organization by employing systematic efforts that translate operational infrastructure needs into configuration specifications that provide a robust, stable, and maintainable Production Infrastructure Processing environment, meeting or exceeding all Business Requirements.
• Creation/maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (TerraForm preferably)
• Provide daily maintenance in a hyperscalar environment (AWS required; GCP/AZR desirable)
• Provide oversight of the global LDAP, DNS, SMTP, and NTP footprint
• Provide capacity forecasts based on usage and trending
• Keep up to date with manufacturers' product offerings
• Provide Level3 expertise for break\fix issues
• Ensure accurate and non-impactful changes are implemented in the production environment by working with technical services resources
• 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis
What it Takes:
• B.S. in computer science/information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in;
• *NIX and Windows operating systems at an administrator level
• Strong background in developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code
• Strong background in SMTP technologies including BIND
• Administrator experience in AWS and preferably either GCP or Azure
• Two-factor authentication administration including OKTA or equivalent technologies
• VMWare administration experience would be a plus
• Familiarity with workflow ticketing systems including ServiceNow
• Ability and desire to obtain and maintain a “Canada Secret Certification”
