Principal Systems Architect-SAP SuccessFactors

OpenText is looking for candidate to be the Solution Architect supporting the Enterprise HRIT Ecosystem. The role will be responsible for supporting technical implementations, operational excellence and integration of SAP SuccessFactors with adjacent solutions. The HR Applications Solution Architect will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of multiple areas within the SuccessFactors and related HR applications landscape at OpenText.  This candidate will be an integral part of the Open Text IT Enterprise Applications organization while partnering with the HR organization to deliver solutions to meet business needs. 




The HR Applications Solutions Architect will have the following responsibilities:   

  • Responsible for applying Industry and SAP best practices to the design of SuccessFactors enhancements in support of our Out of the Box approach to business applications implementations.
  • Lead the design of SuccessFactors solutions that impact cross-module functionality.  Examples:   M&A mass onboarding of acquisition employees and entities; integrations with other HR, financial and payroll applications; role-based permissions; and adoption of new SuccessFactors functionality.
  • Perform as primary functional lead for the Recruiting and On/off boarding modules, partnering the HR business team to propose relevant solutions, and also partnering with the technical developers to configure the system following best practices.
  • Provide ongoing technical expertise and operational consultation on system functionality, system upgrades and configuration
  • Create target architecture collateral supporting business policy and processes.
  • Work with other IT leads to advise on best practice solutions for SuccessFactors and adjacent applications enhancements.
  • Support IT leadership with providing effort estimates for work requested.
  • Responsible for configuration documentation ensuring it is maintained and accessible to the IT and HR teams.
  • Works with SAP support to create, escalate and resolve incidents.
  • Support M&A activity to accelerate the planning and consolidation of core capabilities and applications.




Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with the SuccessFactors suite (including but not limited to EC, RCM, RMK, ONB 2.0, PMGM, Compensation, Analytics)
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors infrastructure – platform, data models, utilities, security, etc
  • Experience with full cycle (end-to-end) implementations of SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • Strong understanding of HR specific business processes 
  • Self-starter that is capable of working effectively as part of a team; in-person and remotely
  • Strong skills, including analytical thinking, problem solving, and superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
