The Opportunity

The role Principal Technology Architect within the Technology Architecture team will be responsible for providng  platform expertise, solution analysis and design, plus direct technology guidance to the Cloud Operations orginization. You will create or contribute to the development of technology solutions focused on the requirements of our Sales, Integration, Product and service level initiatives. These solutions will be founded with a vision for technological progress, process simplification, functional automation, economical operation, and service quality. You will be involved in operating environments ranging from the worldwide in-house OpenText Commercial datacenters to  public cloud vendors such as GCP, AWS, and Azure. You will be engaged in projects and initiatives that include the latest advances in processing and application platforms, as well as proven traditional delivery platforms. 

This role will be a great fit for someone with an established mastery of cloud oriented platforms and solutions as well as extensive experience in designing datacenter infrastructure and processing component topologies. Individuals who want to  exercise expertise in software defined datacenter aproaches, operational solutions for container based application platforms, process automation and orchestration, and dedicated or hybrid deployments into GCP, AWS or Azure will find an exceletnt environment for continued progress at OpenText.

What It Takes

•    10+ years of industry experience in a global, high-tech environment, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role.  
•    Demonstrated ability to architect solutions in global public cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure). Public cloud certifications highly preferred.  
•    Detailed experience in the design, build, and maintenance of large scale high performing secure Kubernetes operating environments. 
•    Expertise with DevOps concepts and associated tools and pipeline processes.
•    Experience with cloud oriented platforms such as Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, and others
•    Experience with the design and deployment of workloads in IaaS vendors such as GCP, AWS, and Azure
•    Expertise in a wide range of infrastructure disciplines sufficient to be able to develop integrated solutions and recommendations. 
•    Strong ability to interpret data quickly and communicate to stakeholders.
•    Familiarity in dealing directly with technology and component vendors.
•    Strong business acumen and proficiency in financial and resource management.
