THE OPPORTUNITY
The S2P Program Manager applies expert knowledge and analytical abilities to proactively implement and manage key strategic sourcing and supply chain initiatives across all spend categories. The successful candidate will provide expert knowledge to find opportunities for improvement, develop the supporting business case, and collaborate cross functionally to build and execute on strategic supply chain objectives to optimize the operations. The role is trusted to assess issues & opportunities through the analysis of numerous factors, both internal and external to the business, to resolve complex problems and improve sourcing and supply chain business processes.
WHAT YOU ARE GREAT AT
- Performing deep dives with S2P leaders to understand and analyze issues
- Strong project management and change management competences:
- Plan program level milestones, gates, tasks, and deliverables.
- Define and manage the plan at the project (workstream) level.
- Define and facilitate program level meetings, setting objective, agenda, participants, location, time, etc. Take and share meeting minutes.
- Facilitate communication for topics involving multiple stakeholders
- Design and drive changes for business process re-engineering and organizational change
- Understand and handle escalated issues coming from workstreams as well as global teams
- Bridge communication between S2P workstreams and technical workstreams
- Applying lean six sigma methodologies to improve process efficiencies in supply chain operations
- Proactivity monitor S2P performance indicators to ensure data accuracy and data management policies are working as expected
- Apply problem solving & creativity to develop and design improvements to the processes, procedures, tools, rules, and metrics
- Develop and maintain requirements/specifications for new or enhanced sourcing and supply chain functionality to operational processes, policies, and systems
- Partnership and cross-functional interaction with teams to support ongoing initiatives.
- Building relationships with leaders to improve processes and understanding and explaining variance drivers within the operations teams
WHAT IT TAKES
- 5+ years of combined supply chain and project management experience
- BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or another related field
- The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate transformation experience in Source to Pay (Supply Chain) that reduces cost and/or increase capacity, including:
- Strong process orientation and demonstrated ability to define and document new or improved business planning and management processes and reporting mechanisms
- Demonstrable experience in Source to Pay (S2P) process design and hands-on capability, including documentation
- Strong understanding of how business processes work and integrate in an ERP/SAP environment, and overall Procurement and Finance process/value flow understanding
- High tech, internet or computer industry experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and minimize risks
- Self-starter working under minimal supervision with cross functional teams to drive stated goals
- Excellent verbal communication, presentation, collaboration, and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and influence change at all levels
- Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and execute tasks with short lead times, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
