Revenue Recognition, Lead Systems Architect

The Opportunity:

The Revenue Recognition Lead Systems Analyst candidate will be responsible for providing revenue recognition expertise in an SAP ERP environment. The candidate must have worked on multiple-full SDLC implementations as part of the revenue recognition team responsible for configuration of various revenue recognition solutions, as well as have experience in a support role.  This professional will be focused on ongoing improvement and expansion projects as well as production support and operations.  


You are great at:

  • Participating/Lead ing Blueprint and design workshops with Business and IT leads
  • Acting in an intermediary role to translate functional requirements to technical requirements
  • Communicating to process teams the technical capabilities of the selected solution
  • Performing requirement analysis and fit / gap analysis and produce configuration and development requirements
  • Designing, configuring, and testing of revenue recognition solutions within the SAP environment
  • Writing detail Functional Specifications to translate the business requirements into functional design and oversee the development of the proposed solution


What it takes: 

  • Should be able to translate functional requirements into revenue recognition solution design
  • Should have worked in an environment where multiple non-SAP applications are interfaced with SAP ERP
  • Experience migrating new acquisitions to an existing revenue recognition implementation
  • Experience with revenue recognition solutions such as RevPro or SAP RAR
  • Experience in SAP ERP, S4 HANA experience is an asset
  • Experience working in a finance or accounting role is an asset
  • Experience with the Record to Report processes in a software or technology company is an asset
  • Experience with the order to cash processes in a software or technology company is an asset
  • Should have knowledge of Integration between core SAP modules
  • Should have good understanding of the business processes, ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish multiple tasks, both as part of a team and independently
  • Should be able to write detail Functional Specifications to translate the business requirements into functional design and oversee the development of the proposed solution
  • Experienced in at least 2 full lifecycle revenue recognition solution implementations
  • Experience in production support is an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP. 
  • 10+ years IT experience
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • A high standard for work ethic and quality is required
