Senior Corporate Citizenship Specialist

The Sr. Corporate Citizenship Specialist, Corporate Giving, reports to the VP, Corporate Citizenship and is part of the global Corporate Citizenship Team. The Corporate Citizenship Team leads impact programs across the organization including: corporate giving, employee volunteering, environmental and sustainability initiatives, and our annual Corporate Citizenship Report.



  • Work closely with the VP, Corporate Citizenship, to develop a comprehensive Corporate Giving Strategy with global activation plans for all corporate giving and community engagement programs and initiatives
  • Foster the enterprise-wide implementation and integration of the Corporate Giving strategy
  • Project manage the annual plan including activation plans, timelines, communications, promotions, and results of the following programs:
    • Global corporate giving campaign initiatives
    • Employee matching programs
    • The employee volunteer program
    • Civic action engagement opportunities
  • Coordinate and administer all incoming corporate giving requests, including working closely with the VP Corporate Citizenship on approvals and responses and facilitating payment of corporate donations
  • Collaborate with the OpenText Communications Team to deliver a wide range of innovative communication tactics that align to Corporate Citizenship priorities and objectives. Leverage all internal and external communication channels for maximum impact
  • Develop and sustain a performance measurement system that tracks engagement and program metrics and maintains strategic alignment with our Corporate Citizenship and ESG external reporting efforts
  • Support and contribute to Equity, Diversity & Inclusion goals and objectives by supporting civic action initiatives
  • Progress and scale a best-in-class employee volunteer program, leveraging business capabilities and employee skills, to improve and increase engagement and impact
  • Manage the Corporate Citizenship Champion program: coordinate quarterly calls, develop presentation materials, develop templated programs for the champs to deliver at the site level, encourage and promote collaboration of ideas
  • Collaborate and engage with global Site Leaders and regional Corporate Citizenship Champions to support local initiatives and deliver corporate-wide campaigns
  • Manage a repository of high-res photos and videos from global community engagement initiatives to promote and profile the program.
  • Contribute annual corporate giving statistics and community engagement highlights for the Corporate Citizenship Report
  • Routinely benchmark OpenText community investment and employee engagement initiatives relative to our industry peer group
  • Leverage trends in effective global corporate giving, community engagement and impact practices
  • Develop and recommend new processes for delivering impactful community engagement initiatives
  • Actively participate in cross-functional brainstorms
  • Maintain strong collaborative working relationships among key internal and external stakeholders



  • Must have at least 5-7 years of progressive experience managing community investment, social impact, fundraising, and/or philanthropy portfolios in a fast-paced environment
  • You have passion and enthusiasm for supporting corporate citizenship that gives back to communities in need, encourages employee engagement, and promotes brand reputation
  • Superb planning, execution, and administrative capabilities
  • Experience creating innovative plans to support giving and volunteering strategies
  • Proven ability to measure and analyze impact of program efforts, with excellent working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external to the company
  • Ability to leverage Yammer, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
  • Creative thinker, high EQ, expert communication skills, collaborator
  • You are skilled at coordinating to support a strategic plan that effectively delivers our community programming
  • You’re well-organized, resourceful, efficient, and have impeccable attention to detail
  • Your writing, editing, and presentation skills are exceptional
  • You have excellent research and analysis skills
  • You’re professional, friendly, and courteous — excellent at building relationships across diverse group
