Senior Marketing Automation Specialist (Eloqua)

The Opportunity:


The Sr Software Developer will be a valued member of the Enterprise Business Systems (IT) team responsible for marketing automation systems at OpenText.  The primary focus will be on the Eloqua platform. OpenText has a large Eloqua footprint which is a key component to our marketing pipeline success. The EBS team partners closely with our Marketing Automation team (Marketing) to provide efficient processes and technical solutions to our departments supporting the marketing pipeline. 


What you are great at:


  • Working closely with business partners to define and implement technical solutions to meet their business requirements
  • Being proactive, engaging with our business partners to improve processes and related solutions, leveraging best industry best practices
  • Providing 3rd level application support
  • Reviewing and managing integration flow and error reports between Marketing Automation Platform (Eloqua) and CRM (Salesforce), the corporate websites, and other integrated technologies
  • Reviewing/updating Marketing Automation workflows, system programs, assets/asset templates (Web Forms in particular) and methodologies to ensure a high level and consistent Customer Experience
  • Creating and maintaining supporting technical documents pertaining to platform and process
  • Maintaining knowledge of latest platform changes/updates and ensuring it’s communicated appropriately
  • Taking pro-active measures in key elements of the Marketing Automation platform and related maintenance including, but not limited to data quality, data completeness, spam management, third party technology integration, vendor relations, CRM integration alignment, tracking acquisition migration items, etc.
  • Working closely with the Digital Marketing teams to ensure web forms and related processes and scripting are in place and updated when needed to adhere to business and compliance needs
  • Creating and managing Marketing Automation system programs such as Lead Scoring, CRM Integration, Compliance Opt In, Preference Center, Nurture Flows, Data Look Ups, etc.
  • Providing technical leadership on projects
  • Adhering to IT Change Management and best practices


What it takes to excel:


  • 5+ years of HTML and JavaScript experience
  • 5+ years experience with Eloqua Marketing Automation Platform, or Similar Enterprise MAP (Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot, etc).
  • 3+ years experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platform
  • Proven experience integrating Marketing Technologies to overall tech stack and business processes
  • Experience using APIs
  • Above average Microsoft Office Applications skills, primarily Excel
  • Strong knowledge of Lead Scoring and Lead Nurturing frameworks
  • Must be able to identify priorities and work on several concurrent projects
  • Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM software packages
  • An aptitude to learn new technology quickly
  • Effective documentation skills
  • Ability to summarize business problems clearly and concisely for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
