In the Senior Android Developer role, you will be one of the primary contributors to OpenText Core Content Mobile App (
Core Content on Google Play). Core Content is a fast-deploying SaaS content management solution that delivers simple, agile and secure cloud-based content management. You will work as part of a collaborative and co-operative Agile team and be one of the primary contributors to the OpenText Core Content Android application.  You will help shape the future of OpenText Core Content, solve challenging problems, and assist your teammates in getting stuff done. Your opinions and design philosophies will shape the solutions to our product and drive end to end feature implementations. As a Senior Android Developer, you will also be involved in scanning, tracking, and resolve security vulnerabilities.

 

You are great at:

  • Developing applications for the Android operating system.
  • Integrating with global, distributed teams to drive solutions.
  • Communicating the merits of various designs and approaches.
  • Contributing ideas during design and planning discussions.
  • Mentoring junior developers, providing guidance and feedback on their work.
  • Reviewing code of other developers.
  • Developing unit tests and automated testing.
  • Learning new technologies and proactively identifying such technologies as appropriate.

 

What it takes:

  • Experience developing software for at least 4 years.
  • A degree in Computer Science or related engineering or equivalent experience and knowledge.
  • Ability to develop end to end features.
  • Experience delivering in-market mobile applications to thousands of users.

 

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience with Git version control system.
  • Experience with Gradle build system and Groovy.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration servers like TeamCity or Jenkins.
  • Having worked within an Agile software development process.
  • Development experience with Java and Kotlin.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and other Jetpack libraries.
