The Opportunity:
The Sr. Program Manager, Process and Change will play a key role in ensuring large transformational programs meet objectives leveraging the most efficient and effective processes and increasing the employee adoption through change management. This person will focus on the people side of the changes, including business processes, process intersections between teams, how people interact with systems and technology, job role and organization structure changes. The primary responsibility will be partnering with other finance PMO team members, the business and IT teams to create and implement process optimization and change management strategies to maximize employee adoption.
While the Sr. Program Manager, Process and Change does not have supervisory responsibilities, this person will have to influence changes impacting multiple teams and work through many others in the organization. This role will act as a coach to the project team and business leaders providing guidance on supporting the changes, communicating with teams, and managing change resistors.
You Are Great At:
• Understand the program stakeholder challenges and outcome goals
• Create and maintain project plans to support process optimization and change management activities throughout all facets of the program
• Coordinate process/change project plans into overarching master plan
• Liaison with the business and project teams to identify process improvement opportunities
• Participate in future state process design to ensure the new way of doing this is the most efficient, effective, and user-friendly process
• Become familiar with industry standards and best practices and leverage in future state where possible
• Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities on assigned projects
• Identify key project stakeholders, and complete stakeholder assessments
• Conduct business impact assessments of all changes
• Develop communication, engagement, and training programs to support the initiative
• Support the design, development, delivery, and management of communications and employee engagement
• Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs
• Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics
• Identify and manage anticipated resistance
• Consult and coach project teams as necessary to ensure successful outcome
• Engage appropriate HR support where there are changes to organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
• Evaluate user readiness to ensure people success prior to project implementations
• Ensure there is adequate post go-live support for the business, track, and report issues
• Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
• Work with business leaders to monitor and measure success
What It Takes:
• College Diploma or University Degree
• Project Management Certification or knowledge is an asset
• Lean Six Sigma certification or knowledge is beneficial
• Certification in a field relating to change management
• Adkar / Prosci certification or desire to complete
• 5 – 10 yrs. experience managing large complex and/or cross functional programs / projects, process optimization and change management
• Proven success in process optimization methodologies and tools
• Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent active listening skills
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
• Problem solving and root cause identification skills
• Able to communicate and work effectively at all levels in an organization
• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of a project lifecycle with ability to align change plans with project lifecycle
• Experience with applying a creative approach to change management
