Sr. Quality Assurance Developer

The Opportunity:


We are looking for a Sr. Quality assurance developer with experience in performance testing to be responsible for conducting quality assurance, product load and scalability testing with strong analytical skills.


In the Sr. Quality Assurance Developer role, you will be one of the primary contributors to OpenText Core Share quality & performance (https://core.opentext.com), a cloud-based file sharing and collaboration service. You will start as a sr. quality assurance tester participating in product level testing activities working as part of a collaborative and cooperative Agile team and eventually progress into a full performance tester role.  You will help shape the future of OpenText Core Share, solve challenging problems, and assist your teammates in getting stuff done.

You should have:


  • 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance & Performance areas.
  • Experience in participating in estimation, design, implementation, and release testing activities.
  • Experience in performing Exploratory Testing on new features and highlight risk areas
  • Experience with performance tool like Load Runner / Silk Performer / HP PC / JMeter & scripting applications.
  • Should be able to perform analysis of client statistics like response times, throughput, hits per second etc.
  • Must have good knowledge of HTTP (the protocol)
  • Should have resource monitoring (Windows & Unix Environment) & bottleneck analysis skills such as:
    • CPU, Memory, Network and IO monitoring and throughput analysis. Should have experience in monitoring using Perfmon (Windows) and/or Shell scripts (Linux/Solaris/AIX/HP/ other Unix flavors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Create and execute performance test plans.
  • Work closely with others to investigate and provide analysis on issues


Bonus points for:


  • Knowledge of various operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Knowledge of web technologies, specifically HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • Knowledge of Document Management Systems and Cloud products
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization software
