As a Sr. Software Developer on the Global Tools Team, you will be responsible for designing, and developing new applications and enhancements to applications and integrations used by the Common Engineering team. In addition, you will oversee the deployment, maintenance and support of these applications.
Responsibilities:
- A full stack development position, providing leadership from database to UX design.
- Design, implement & test new features for the Common Engineering tools.
- Write excellent code following industry best practices
- Create training material and technical documentation.
- Install new systems and new releases into test and production environments.
- Work closely with Quality Engineering to review test plans and test cases
Core Skills:
A post-secondary degree software engineering, computer science or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in software development, most of which is relevant to the position.
- Excellent knowledge of one of the following development stacks.
- MVC applications
- Java, Spring
- JavaScript, jQuery, Tomcat
- Ruby, Rails
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Good knowledge of Windows and Linux.
- Very good communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in collaborating with international teams.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.
- Excellent inter-personal skills.
- Good analytical and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with more than one of the development stacks mentioned previously.
- Self-motivated and self-confident.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
