The Senior Variable Compensation Analyst will be focused both on the daily/monthly/quarterly VC activities of accurate calculation, preparation, and communication of variable compensation/performance results, as well as analysis, advanced systems knowledge and management support in process improvements and projects. This key role will be instrumental in understanding both the daily activities and how to streamline or improve them. The Senior Variable Compensation Analyst will contribute to the overall team success by participating in the High-Performance Team model (HPT).
You are great at:
- Performing complex calculations and/or analysis for variable compensation payments and performance measures & reporting.
- Keeping the company in compliance with existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation. Including, Quality Assurance reviews, analysis and audit/SOX compliance tasks.
- Develop, maintain, and update systems and processes critical to the reporting and tracking of compensation or sales team metrics (Xactly, Salesfroce.com, and other related systems)
- Respond to inquiries and escalations from VC Plan Members in a timely and professional manner, including partnering with other VC team members or business partners to resolve issues.
- Work on special projects such as process improvements, data analysis/compilation, presentations and report building.
- Perform in a challenging, extremely fast paced environment, while being able to adapt rapidly as circumstances change.
What it takes:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Accounting, Business, Economics, Statistics or another relevant subject.
- Strong systems proficiency in general, PowerPoint, Excel (intermediate to advanced level); ability to work with large data sets. Experience in Salesforce.com an asset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with a variety of people and job functions (front line through executive level).
- High attention to detail, a commitment to quality, results driven, with a customer focused mindset.
- Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments, while administering complex programs.
- Self-starter who will take the initiate to learn the various process/complete tasks from start to finish.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player to achieve goals and tight deadlines while managing cross functional responsibilities and not sacrificing quality/integrity.
