Technical Marketing Manager (Virtual)

Technical Marketing is a team of product specialists who work closely with our engineers, product managers, and solution consultants to create, host, and support demos that showcase the great technical features and business benefits of OpenText products


The Opportunity...

As Technical Marketing Manager you will work with engineering and presales leads to deliver effective demonstration assets that support sales of the company’s Core product portfolio (SaaS).  You will build inter-departmental relationships with solution consulting, professional services, and product management and provide technical support and assistance to staff in the field delivering customer facing demonstrations and proof of concepts. You will administer and lend technical support of demo tenants and subscriptions on OpenText’s OT2 Cloud Platform. Explores new innovations and applications that lead to improved service levels, including script-based automation, analytics and reporting, cost containment.

  • Manage and maintain a library of hosted SaaS product demonstrations (OT2 Shared Subscriptions)
  • Update demonstration systems to keep cadence with the latest product releases
  • Build demos environments that showcase integrations with related OpenText and 3rd party applications.
  • Perform routine operational duties on OT2Cloud Platform (account creation/deletion, management of tenant admins, users and roles, subscription configuration, jobs, APIs etc.) in support of SaaS demos.
  • Provide technical demonstration support and enablement for OpenText presales staff 
  • Maintain written demo user guides, how-to instructions, weekly status reports and wiki updates


What it Takes...

  • Undergraduate degree 
  • 5+ years experience in the software industry in technical management roles. Proven track record of delivering demo systems to support software sales.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise information management principles via OpenText (or a similar) product portfolio. Proven knowledge and experience supporting a SaaS product in a pre-sales environment. 
  • Work in a high-pressure environment with challenging deadlines and demanding users. 
  • All-round technical expertise including, computer software, operating systems, networks, cloud systems, virtualization, containers, and more. “Can do” attitude to problem-solving. Thirst for new knowledge and innovation.
