The IT organization has never been more of a strategic partner to businesses as it is today. As Vice President, Enterprise Architecture, reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you are deeply vested in understanding business digital roadmaps, and transforming these business strategies into technical roadmaps, programs, and projects. The pursuit of efficiencies and extreme automation through process (re)engineering and technology is your calling card. As a member of the IT senior leadership team, you play an influential role in shaping the culture of IT and your strong people-oriented leadership style is a driver in accelerating the delivery of enterprise architecture solutions.
YOU ARE GREAT AT:
- Leading and inspiring your global IT team, along with your business partners, to evaluate new technology trends, develop compelling business cases, build strategic roadmaps, and ideate and innovate compelling solutions that maximize return on investment for OpenText.
- Seizing opportunities created by emerging technologies to facilitate innovation in business models, products, and services; uses information and technology to drive value into and from the customer experience; develops solutions for complex business problems that require ingenuity and creativity.
- Developing and oversees the EA program; facilitates trans-enterprise integration by providing natural mutual points of engagement and communication both within and outside the organization; optimizes the delivery of business services at the enterprise level to realize the corporate strategy.
- Advocating for the business and IT needs through forward-thinking technologies; balancing cost and risk
- Representing IT inside and outside of OpenText and being seen as a leader/trend setter
- Managing and maintaining the information technology of the organization, ensuring the technological stability of the organization, and building IT functional capabilities.
- Contributing to the growth of the organization using understanding of the organization’s industry, core functions, products, services, customers, and competitors.
- Forming strong, lasting relationship with business leaders in across the enterprise. Advise, counsel, and educate leadership on opportunities to leverage technology to effectively meet business goals.
- Through experience, you know your way around due diligence cycles, pre-close processes and how to identify red flags. You can define, develop, and deliver M&A integration programs.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience managing and/or directing within the Information Technology field.
- At least 10 years of experience leading strategic business transformation initiatives and/or major development programs.
- Proven experience in researching, evaluating, negotiating, and managing third-party service providers.
- Current Senior leadership tenure that includes primary responsibility for enterprise architecture systems strategy, delivery, and support.
- Proven ability to architect and present technology alternatives based on a business concept
- Broad technical knowledge of enterprise applications, system architecture, application integration and object-oriented languages. Extensive experience in all stages of the software development life cycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation.
- Solid understanding of key business and technology disciplines including strategy, governance, Business Analysis, Project Management, Quality Assurance, SDLC, and DevOps.
- Must have professionalism, integrity, and dedication, a high level of energy, and excellent critical thinking, creative problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates strong business acumen: understands of key business drivers for performance and growth, and the use of sound business practices.
